Do you accept walk ins?
Yes, our shop does accept walk ins! However, immediate artist availability and specific artist availability cannot be guaranteed.
The best way to guarantee availability is to schedule an appointment!
What if I don't know what I want to get?
We can set up an in person consultation to discuss ideas. One consultation per project is free when consulting with me. If you are interested in doing so, please email me at contact@theodraws.art!
Does your shop do piercings?
Yes! Our piercers function by appointment only, so please visit their information page here.
Where can I park?
There is parking at the front, at the right side of the building, and behind the building. There are entrances in the front and back of the shop.
Can I bring guests?
Yes! However, please keep in mind that your guest might need to sit in the lobby if the adjacent station is being used, or only one person might be able to sit with you if the adjacent station is available.
Additional guests beyond that might have to wait in the lobby.
Please make sure all guests are 18+. No pets are allowed!
What can I or should I bring?
Required:
a form of government ID with your photo
Optional but recommended:
a water bottle
Optional:
a blanket or jacket during colder months
snacks of your preference (we have chips and candy at the shop as well)
headphones
a book, audiobook, iPad, or other form of entertainment (Wi-Fi available)
a stress ball or stuffie
a drink of your choice (coffee, boba, etc.)
Can I use numbing cream for our session?
Yes! However, please make sure to discuss with me first, as some ingredients used in numbing creams can be more dangerous than others for the purpose of tattooing specifically and I would like to review the active ingredients with you. I also usually have specific instructions for how you should use the cream for best results!
We have bactine in the shop, which works best when the skin is already broken. So it can be a great way to extend one's endurance for a session between the stages of lining and color. However, if you'd like to use a numbing cream that is applied beforehand, I do ask that people procure their own product and apply before coming in. Because numbing creams can take 45-90 minutes to take effect, this reduces wasted time during the appointment!
How do revisions work? Do I get to see the design beforehand?
Personally, I like to show clients the design 1-3 days before our appointment. This is not standard in tattooing because of the phenomenon of people taking the design and going to a "cheaper" artist, but I would like to maintain this practice and give trust to my clients.
With every project, 2 revision rounds are included. One "round" of revisions can include multiple small notes.
This does not mean that we can't work to refine towards a result you want! My hope is just to encourage people to be as clear as possible upfront about what they're looking for, and avoid the scenario of having to email back and forth endlessly. The goal of the revision limit is also to account for the added drawing hours that 3+ revision rounds can require, and so added revision rounds can add $20 each to the final price.
If there are larger edits that are required or the initial idea is discarded entirely, we might need to reschedule and renew the deposit.
